Thoughts on the shiny PSP games my friend got me

There's actually quite a few titles on here, but the ones I've really started playing are:

Me and My Katamari: I've wanted to play this game for an incredibly long, long time. This game really makes me realize how powerful the PSP is in comparison to the DS. The graphics on this are absolutely incredible, almost on par with the PS2 version. The controls are also a LOT better than the iPhone version (well, that's to be expected), but there are still times where I'm like, "crap, I want to go THERE, not HERE!", since I'm so used to the Playstation control scheme. But it's okay, since I love this game to pieces anyway. ^_^

Puyo Puyo 7: The only times I've played Puyo Puyo in the past are Puyo Pop for GBA, Kirby's Avalanche (which doesn't really count) on the SNES and times when friends have let me play Fever or the Anniversary Edition on their DSs (a lot of the installments in Puyo Puyo haven't been released in North America, you see, which is why people download things.)

But this game is SO CUTE! The art style has evolved wonderfully, in my opinion. All of the designs are incredible, and I feel inspired to do fanart, for some inexplicable reason ^_~ Another good touch to this game is voiced dialogue between characters, since I'm normally too lazy to read written Japanese if I can help it (most of the story mode is in Hiragana anyways.) The voicework is quite good, too. Sadly, when I was playing this game in Japanese, there are a lot of instructions in the tutorials that I missed. But despite this, I seem to be doing well. I haven't lost a march once yet O_o

Taiko no Tatsujin Portable: I love, love, LOVE this game! Ever since I played the DS version, I have loved this series to pieces. And yes, I do have Taiko no Tatsujin + on my iPod! But it only has one song. So since I got this, I've been playing like crazy (I unlocked Oni mode already, XD. But it really is hard...-_-;;)

I don't like the song list on this as much as the games I've played before. But this game wins for having Fascinating Rhythm, Katamari on the Rocks (<3), Mojipittan, Ignition, CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA and Rewrite ^w^ But I need more Idolm@ster! T_T

Dissidia: Final Fantasy: This game is incredibly fun. I have friends that say it's a fanservice game, but I beg to differ. The gameplay is fun...and yet incredibly hard. The first character you start off with is pretty easy to use, but whenever I use Cloud, I die a painful death. I'm pretty good with the Onion Knight though...

The graphics on this are very nice...not to mention voiced cutscenes (although I'd appreciate it a lot more if the cutscenes were in Japanese, since the English voice actors leave something to be desired). I do have a gripe with the plot, though; it isn't very creative. Plus, the environments are really weird. Like, even if the good guys save the world, what are they saving? (There are now towns or people around...)

Project Diva: I played this first on another friend's PSP, and I absolutely loved it (since I like Vocaloid, that's why!). By no means is Project Diva the best rhythm game on the planet (although it wins first place for song playlist!) Being able to customize Miku's outfit is also a nice touch. Plus, there's an excellent image gallery, which my friend unlocked for me~ ^_^ Aah~ people who make this stuff on Nico Nico sure are talented!

If you are a Vocaloid fan, GO GET THIS GAME RIGHT NOW. All of my favorite songs are on here: Electric Angel, World is Mine, Love is War, Ievan Polka (LEEKSPIN~!), Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru, etc, etc. So good~!!
