iTunes really ISN'T all it's cracked up to be...

As an Ubuntu user, and a person who rarely uses Windows, having an iPod is a bit of a hassle. Since Apple products will NOT recognize anything that is not an Apple OS/Windows, it's virtually impossible to transfer files directly from Ubuntu. So I have to transfer them from Ubuntu to my Windows folder AND THEN start Windows XP.

T_T

And as if that isn't enough hassle, I had to make an iTunes account, and it wouldn't accept without getting a credit card number (until my dad found a way around it.) Actually, he almost registered me on iTunes Japan, until I said something about it ^^;

But anyway, it takes FOREVER AND A DAY (almost literally) for my iPod to sync with my computer. I have no idea why this is. I TRIED twice to get new songs onto my device, but it just said "syncing" for like an HOUR. Or something.

Seriously, why, WHY can't they make transferring files from iTunes to your device easier? Like, drag and drop? Although I know that it's Apple's goal in life to annoy customers so much they won't be tempted to download pirated content. Which is a noble cause, but still. It sucks that they make life more difficult for people just because they didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for their software. (although that might me a SLIGHT exaggeration, you get the picture :D)

So yeah. But playing with music on my phone WAS pretty darn fun.
I'm going to go read that xxxHOLiC update now. And type up my Japanese skit...in a bit ^_~
