Kobato: It's very much slice-of-life, so if you aren't into that, you won't enjoy this. I had already read the manga, so I was kind of like "get to the part with the debt collector already!". The animation and art are very, very nice. Kobato is really cute, and the art is true to the original manga. It's easier to stay true when the art style is already shojo-ish, unlike, say, xxxHOLiC, which had a really unique style and didn't translate as well.
The seiyuu work is very good, especially Ioryogi's seiyuu XD I don't really like Fujimoto's though, but then I never liked him to begin with. Kobato's seiyuu is a great singer, BTW.
The opening theme is very, very good. I will most likely try doing a fandub of this, when I get the karaoke and full version. :D
Kimi ni Todoke: I'm getting a ton of slice-of-life vibes from this. Since I watched this raw, I kind of watched it as though it was a drama CD with animation ^^;. The BGMs are kind of uninspired, but I wasn't expecting epic-ness, or anything. It's shoujo! I should stop being so fussy...
The art is very true to the manga (I'm happy ^___^) and Sawako's expressions are done well. As for seiyuu work, I'm 90% sure that Sawako is voiced by Houko Kuwashima, without looking at Wikipedia. I've heard Sawako's voice in a lot of different anime, which made me think, "couldn't they have gotten some awesome rookie to do it, and make me a fan of someone new?" So I was kind of disappointed there. Kuwashima isn't BAD, but...
The opening of this is also very, very good. The opening reminds me of Suga Shikao...kind of. I get the feeling it's a vocalist I've heard before. The ending theme didn't really catch my interest.
As for manga, updates for "Suki"tte ii na yo and Sprout came out! ^_____^
