About a half hour ago I got some really bad news, for the past few days, my big black cat, Midnight, had been acting funny. He was walking weird, would not lift his head up and sleep a lot, more then a cat normally does. We originally thought he got into a fight with another cat since he likes to play around outside, but after a few days he wasn't getting any better. So we took him to the vet tonight, as they looked at him, he was still acting weird. After drawing some blood and taking some x-ray's we found out the bad news. Midnight has a large tumor in his chest, pushing up on his lungs, it's very likely it's cancer.
Midnight is more or less my cat, every night he sleeps with me on my bed. He is always with me in the morning and Midnight himself likes me the most as he normally only comes to me or wants me to play with him even when other's are around. So yeah, I'm upset right now. He's still with me and we won't know the final tests till Friday but as it stands right now it's not looking good for him. So lets all hope it's not cancer but as it stands right now it's not looking good for him.
Edit: It's confirmed, Midnight does have cancer. My mother said the best we can do is give him steroids, which should reduce the size of the tumor giving him his life back for a while. The vet said he could live up to as many as 5 more years at best case for this. The removing of the tumor which would help cure him is too much money, costing thousands and thousands of dollars and it's only less then 50% success rate. So all we can do is treat him. He hasn't been eating or drinking much (from what we have seen him do) so if we do this and he still doesn't eat, there is nothing we can do and we might have to put him to sleep.
Double Edit: It seems the stupid program I have is changing my dates.
