TM Prompt 309: What have you forgotten?
My homework.
Well, it's not like I forgot it, exactly. And I did it. I sat at the kitchen table while Krypto kept licking my ankles, and tried to concentrate as Ma made cookies (torture!) and Tim sent me texts that I just can't repeat here (worse!).
So I did the thing. Probably all wrong anyway, but I did it. I figured I could get Simon (my lab partner) to check it over before I handed it in, anyway. He's such a whiz he doesn't even mind.
Then Bart whooshes in and my papers go EVERYWHERE and he's all "blehghjgdgh Bizarro!" as he eats pretty much an entire plate of cookies by himself, and it's stop - super time!
Basically, to sum up, I think I got alien goo all over the algebra, and then I probably left the thing in the Batmobile while Tim and I were, um, discussing strategy.
And it's not like my teachers are sympathetic. Surely saving the world is way more important than algebra? Who ever saved the world with algebra? We saved the world with baseball, once, but y'know, that's much more plausible. But, nope. I'm going to get the whole "stay for detention, Mr. Kent" thing, and Ma's going to be disappointed in me, and then I'll probably have to blow off detention to go battle Superboy Prime or something.
*sigh*
Maybe I'll just say my dog ate it. Everyone knows what Krypto's like. They'll understand.
