TM Prompt 269: Write about a time you were outsmarted

Now, my cousin writes for the Daily Planet, and even I know that "Superboy outsmarted!" isn't exactly news. I hang around with some of the smartest people in the universe. One of my best friends read an entire library. Another has Batman as his professor - you know, Brooding 7 Sneaking Around 101. I even know a guy called Brainiac.
So, yeah. It's not such a big deal. I know I have other talents. That one time saving the world relied on playing baseball? And that other one where we defeated the Toymaker because I recognized a computer game? See: true Superboy genius. I can even explain the plot of The Bold and the Beautiful until steam starts coming out of Cassie's ears. Score!
There is one problem, though. I don't mind all these geniuses getting one over on me. Or Aunt Martha and Uncle Jonathan. Or the teachers at school. But there's this little guy who just...
I was chasing him all over the place yesterday. Forests. Skies. Metropolis. Through the Talon. I mean, Bart is tough to catch but this was ridiculous. And then I just completely lost him. Even my x-ray vision didn't help... until there he was, right behind me, smacking into my back and pushing me into the river.
When I got out, soaking wet, he was laughing at me so hard I had no trouble grabbing his collar and taking him back home for no dinner.
