Well, my car isn't as fixed as I thought it was. It's been misfiring a bit in the last couple of days. I'll probably still wait until I've used up my current tank of fuel before working on it any more. Considering the amount of black gunk my car spat out that one night we were revving the engine, though, that fuel treatment is at least helping *something*.
Gunwagon Status: Pretty much fully painted. I might add a few more glyphs or something, but as it stands, I'm happy with them.
Battlewagon Status: Paint stripped, gubbins stripped, track sections glued together, and the twin big shoota sponsons assembled and attached to the track sections.
Currently, I'm internally debating two aspects of the center hull:
A.) Do I want to make it out of .118" or .080" plasticard? The .118 is easier to work with, IMO, but I'll have to get more of it if I want to do much more than the kannon housing with it. Plus, I kinda have a lot of .080 laying around. Ought to do something with it.
B.) Do I want to stick with the original plan of it being 3" wide, regardless of whether or not Shadowfax's belt sander is wide enough for me to use my traditional "cut big, grind down to size" approach to slope the front end? The alternative is to find a way to make the side pieces *exactly* identical. When they're rectangles, that's easy enough. Adding a non-right angle to the equation makes it a lot harder.
With the converting bug hitting me again, I'm thinking up plans for like dozens of other converting/scratchbuilding projects. Ork Guntrukks, which I promise will be halftracks, are kinda high on the list. As are things like a Hellhound (I don't like the GW model, and I'm not going to spend $90 to get one of the FW models), a second Salamander Scout/Command tank (especially considering I recently broke the autocannon in such a way that I had to permanently affix it to the mount), and harder stuff like Baneblades (one loyal, one Chaos).
