Bad day

Today was a frustrating day. The Colorado School of Trades admissions lady called. Apparently, my reminder to check in with them went by without me noticing, and when I asked about how far out I'd be notified if I got to the top of the waiting list, I got slightly chewed out by her over it. Apparently, she thought I'd asked to be off the waiting list, for some reason. So, I'm going to try to keep in her good graces, even if her tone rubbed me the wrong way. After this, I just hope she doesn't try to be buddy buddy with me at the school.
Then, changing the oil on the new Saturn was problematic, again. The socket I'd gotten to do it with is too tall, so I'd run out of room trying to get the cap off. I swear that people who design engine compartments these days are people who flunked out of mechanical design school. So, I drove around, looking for places that would have a shallow 1.25" socket, finding no one that had it. Eventually, I called Best Auto, the place that used to do Arisia's oil changes, and found out where they got theirs from, and they directed me to a place that had them.
I'm glad Ixia's getting the rest of the day. I need some time to just relax and de-stress after today.
