Owww! Advice needed.

Sometimes I can be so clumsy. I just burned my finger on the heating element in my toaster oven. I don't think I've ever blackened my skin before. I ran it under cold water for a few minutes and then put Neosporin and a bandaid on it.

Just wondering if there's anything else I should do. Do I have to get rid of or scrape off the black skin?
