Cosplay Screw-ups For the Fail...

No don't worry, nothing too bad has gone wrong. My big success of yesterday was getting my Kanon armwarmer done sans eyelets and lacing, only to realize today that I did it backwards.... the side I sewed up is the side that should have been left open for lacing, but the way I've done it at the moment it'd be easier to just redo the whole thing than rip it out and all that jazz. It honestly doesn't look bad, unless you're like straight up comparing me side by side to a pic of real Kanon, but I'm really annoyed at myself for doing it. I honestly need to keep my reference pics up despite that I think I have them really well committed to memory...because that's how that happened...I thought I was remembering clearly... oh well. So yesterday the fail of an arm warmer got done and the straps got put in my top. Today's successes: realize failed arm warmer, make red tube top for under my top, make wristband, and at the moment de-wrinkling fabric for Kanon Wakeshima's hakama.....
Can the cosplay fairy just come pay me a visit and fix up everything and just make it all magically done now please?!

All this being said, I still have to make modifications for my purchased Kaito cosplay on top of all this KanonXKanon from scrap... yes I think after this venture I may not sew any cosplays from scratch anymore...not with as satisfied as I am with my Kaito cosplay I purchased from FM-Anime. Sure it costs about twice as much, but for what free time I have and how precious I'm finding it to be, It's worth it to get something that is 97% satisfactory that just needs a few little modifications... speaking of this while I'm waiting for fabric to dewrinkle I suppose I could be making those Kaito gloves fingerless right now.... off to find the fray check!
