Have been so amazingly blah-tastic today. Got out to the car on the way to work and realize I forgot my knitting bag so after going back in to grab it and getting on the road I realize I left my water bottle in the house. Thought no big deal, get a soda at work to substitute. Yucky wreck on the highway took us down to one lane and I ended up 45 min late to work.
Got there and we had one project come in that we haven't seen for a number of months. 5 boxes for 4 people yet I somehow managed to do 2 in the same amount of time everyone else did 1... that sort of thing always makes me grumbly. Afternoon project was ready for right after lunch and right now I'm supposed to have a "helper" for refreshing...pass her on my way into the room as she's leaving and then over an hour later she comes looking for the work and I'm like "I ran out of stuff so I just worked on it, sorry".... I was so pissed cause like, c'mon, it was right there!!! an hour ago!!!
Also got recruited in to help out on another project and was told by my 2 supervisors that they wish they could clone me which was my compliment of the day. You know honestly I go to work, and I do my job. I have something a lot of individuals lack these days called work ethic. You go and you do said job to the best of your abilities. I get so angry when I see people intentionally slacking off and I hate when people say that I'm "working too hard" or how I don't need to "be so serious" about my job. It is my livelihood. Yes it would be nice if it paid better, but I like what I do and am apparently very good at it. I also like most of the people I work with.
Other than all the work BS, last night went out for bento and sushi at Genroku and it was awesome. Logan had a not so hot day yesterday so we went to eat and then went to Target and bought him some icecream and we also picked up some bananas because both of us were craving them. Today we went to Sali's and got an awesomely delicious pizza then went to the pet store to get food for toads and extra supplies I couldn't afford last weekend for my hamster. Cleaned out the hamster cage and we had a heck of a time getting Niko into his new little running ball...which he just sat in...he didn't run/explore anywhere... The scary thing is that I think just today that he's realized he can climb the cage bars.... none of them are wide enough for him to get out or anything, but it just sort of weirds me out. We got him scared enough trying to get him out that he started scaling the bars. We eventually had to put the cage in the bathtub , unattatch the cage top from the bottom and then he hopped over the edge of that and it took Logan about 3~4min to finally catch him and get him in the ball. I'm hoping to get him handled and in the ball more often so he'll get used to it which will make his weekly cage cleaning much easier, but he's already 6mo old and was more than likely never handled by his previous owner.....still cannot complain about a $5 roborovski hamster + cage w/running wheel. Niko's still such a cutie pie and I love waking up in the mornings to him running on his wheel.
Okay I've blathered on waaaaay too much. Logan is finally playing his game I don't care about instead of watching anime I do care about so I can run off to the bedroom to mess with DollAkon stuff on the desktop.
