My online handle is "Temperance"... it has been for so long... I really can't remember using any other nick. In either case, I have always considered Temperance as a facet of my personality. Over time she has undergone many changes from her humble beginnings as a doodle in my high school sketchbook to today.

I give you the evolution of Temperance:
The art is old and embarrassing and some of the plot even moreso T_T... I'd like to think I've improved since then, so try to refrain from giggling....

Temperance was originally developed as a comic book character. Back in my youth, me and another girl decided we were going to become comicbook artists... all we needed was a good idea, some issues under our belts, and we would be the next Jim Lees and J. Scott Campbells.
However we both sucked at drawing... oh yes...
Temperance was an experiment from Project Paradox, a secret laboratory that genetically altered humans to have animal features (I never realized I was a furry so early in my youth... XD I was a long time in the closet I think). Temperance was Tanya Morgan Crowe, a Roma. Her mother gave her the nickname Temperance because her mentality was that of a reversed Temperance card. She was genetically engineered with a vampire bat, leaving her relatively human looking, but with a taste for blood...

In the comic Temperance was wronged by some real vampires and turned into a vampire hunter with one of her companions from the lab, Theo a Jurassic-park clone dinosaur. Though mostly based in the "real world" Temp did have some crossover adventures with my favorite comic characters, and did a funny crossove with another artist friend and her character Boomer, the fox. We had so much fun giggling over the silly script, the crossover never got finished and most of the art was tossed or placed in storage.

Dreams of becoming a comic legend faded, but I created Temp and had a bit of a fixation on her. I saw potential in her, but she needed some serious tweaking. I got rid of the whole Genetic vampire plot and turned her into a real vampire. In this alternate reality earth, vampires and werewolves were public knowledge. However since being a preturnatural phenomenon was still strange and suspicious, most vampires didn't do well in regular society. Temperance became an assassin for the Mob, known as the Executioner:

Temperance the Executioner had several incarnations, one she was horribly scarred by another vampire and wore a porcelin mask of which she became known and feared by the underworld... others, she was a simple bodyguard for the Mafia Don's son.

I started RPing online with Temperance as my character and she really began to develop from that point. Her gangster roots remained, but took a sci-fi twist where she met a man from the future who later became her husband. The man from the future, ShadowRaptor, was the leader of a group attempting to save humanity from destruction of which Temperance was the cause. In the end he couldn't bring himself to kill her, but decided the best course of action was to keep her under his watchful eye and recruit her to join his military group the Obsidian Raptors:

Temperance was eventually posted in an out-of-the-way base on another world with backwards technology. She was told her mission was to observe the area, as it would be a key point in their future battles... to be honest it was just a nice place to shove her out of the way since she had no military background and her future as the destroyer of humanity left most of the Obsidian Raptors wary of her.

At one point she became a were tiger... and the only "cure" left her constantly in Tiger form... Lordy, this is a pretty embarrassing plot twist even for me XD Oh Temp! Don't worry, I still love you...

Over time she because a higher ranking officer in the Obsidian Raptors and was allowed to retain a position and military standing away from her secluded outpost.

I sort of stopped RPing with her and eventually the character faded away. I have begun many comics and put aside many comics with Temperance as the lead. I continue to have aspirations for her, but I'm afraid to mess with her too much as she deserves more than my silly fantasy can offer most times.

I continued to use Tempy as my internet handle for forums and the like. I decided dispite the character's past I can re-make her anew.
