So I'm on to the part where I drive around and I've talked to a realtor that was reccommended to me. I spent most of the weekend researching and driving and taking notes and adding houses to my "My house" list on the site so my folks could look at them. I'm discovering the aspect of this whole thing seeming like a second full time job at moments part now!
It was nice at parts (though I feel rather like crud today). I really like Amesbury, though it's a bit difficult to find my price range there. Lovely downtown, nice rural areas surrounding. Easy up to the coast, easy to work.
Was a bit sad that a spot I loved the look of online wasn't having the right feel to me in Haverhill, but on the other hand one I was eh about online blew me away with the lovely complex it's in there.
Lowell has some promising spots, though I fear it's ability to turn me around and get me frazzled and lost. There's one place overlooking the treelined river with a view that takes my breath away a little bit.
So I guess what this tells me is that I should be looking in areas with green. Those are the places that are really striking my fancy. Downtown urban areas, even in towns like Lowell or Haverhill which aren't exactly the big city, just aren't home for me. I sort of want to feel like I'm in a treehouse - but at least I'm not still intrigued by the silo!
Anyway - just in case any of you were keeping up. :P
Got the itinerary for the flights to and from Hawaii. My brother gets in on one flight, my parents on another, and I get there last. Rather odd, but hey. I'm the one who gets there and the car is ready to go and we're ready to boogy and get this show on the road - I go from baggage claim to adventure without twiddling my thumbs in an airport for a couple of hours, so I win! I may get there just in time to watch a sunset out my window - we'll see!
