Ok, i'm going to type this all out because I'm not ashamed of who I am or what I think despite pressure to be so:
I believe in God, I believe in the existence of an eternal soul.
I think the "Christian" community has become too self focused. Everything is about "my" personal relationship with God. I absolutely believe God created us as individuals, created us to glorify him as our own, definitive, separate souls in his image. But is is SO not about US!
We sing these stupid horrible love songs. Oh God how we love you. What? It's not about how much WE love HIM, it's about how HE is worthy of OUR love. I can't stand this new entitlement that has entered religion.
YOU ARE NOTHING.
Sorry, it's true. Without God, you are just DUST.
Don't want to deal with that? Fine. Go listen to Mr. Olsteen.
We were created to be an embodiment of God's spirit here on Earth, to fight against the Prince of the Air (Genesis), to do good in a world of evil.
If you have a problem with that, then go somewhere else for your spiritual fulfillment. There are plenty of people willing to cater to your denial. Wake up and live the truth.
Maybe I'm a bitch, but at least I'm on the right side of the war.
