Oh God.

This week's been crap and my parents need a serious kick up the arse. I'm up to *here* with them and you can't even see where I'm pointing. It's Christmas, for goodness sake, stop being so horrid.

Anyway, on a much nicer note, I'm doing all my Christmas stuff now (and working on special treats for two particular people) so if you'd like a card, email your address to me pronto and then with any luck it'll get there in time (*touches Elijah Wood*).

And while we're on the topic, I'll finish on that Christmas meme that's been doing the rounds, seeming as I have to do some wishlist thing for my family (parents aside)too.
*grumbles* *actually hates asking for things* *is obviously going at great lengths to avoid only child stereotype*

Step One

--Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want. If you wish for real life things (not stories or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

--Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part: If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use-or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free-do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf-to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not-it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1) FIIIICCC. Obviously, there's a lot of fanfiction out there, but so many of my fandoms or certain characters are woefully represented so if anyone's prepared to fix that, I will loffe you muchly. Like, I dunno, My Parents Are Aliens, Brittas, lesser known Red Dwarf characters, that sort of thing. Or indeed, for extremes if you want to try your hand at Bobbehfic, I'd be delighted. I'm more of a reader than a writer, rly! And you know I like slash best of all. Oh yeah, and icons will be appreciated too.

2) EMAILS/COMMENTS. I just love contact. LOL, I didn't mean physically but I won't object. Especially as my inbox is being overridden with spam and advertising, it's always nice to get something that's much worth reading. Even if you think it's gibberish. Honestly! And since the death of my MSN messenger, even more so.

3) I love Claire's Accessories. Except that, before you ask 'Who Claire?' it's not called that anymore, is it? Just Claire's. Ah well, I love all their rainbow sparkly plastic randomness, their skull printed everything, their huge plastic necklaces and rings, their clip earrings (LOL, really), their surprisingly flavoured lipbalms and just general accessoryness.

4) Speaking of accessories, OMG TIES. I do actually love ties and I don't have enough of them (And Tie Rack don't have a tie rack, why is that?). Striped, polka dot, stars, the unusual the better.
And I still wish I knew where Bobbeh's tie is from because I want it.

5) Oh yeah, and most importantly, and I do believe I'm repeating mysticheaven here, BADGES! Funny slogans, band stuff and ironically retro stuff. All good. And those DIY Pin brooches you can find on ebay with the random charms on them? Love them.

6) You know I'm living in the middle ages and all that? Poor and on dial up? Well, it pains me that I can't get torrents. When people stick televisual goodness on Youtube or DVD or something, it's one of The Best Things in the World. If anyone knows the whereabouts of White Teeth, or series Two of My Dad's the Prime Minister, even more so.

7) Nothing delights my RickmanBathurstBarrie fangirl more than magazine clippings and old TV mags.

8) ... Except that, if anyone happens to be member of certain photography sites I would die for hi-res pictures (WireImageRexFeaturesCorbisGettyImagesetc *cough*). And indeed, any interview stuff from the likes of High Beam is good too.

9) I'm running out of ideas now. Can I just wish that both myself and you all out there have a lovely Christmas and a fabulous 2007? Failing that, I'd love a non-trial version of Paintshop Pro/Photoshop because mine keep running out and I can't afford the ridiculously overpriced things.

10) And finally.... LJ itself. I'm open to LJ related gifts, oh yes. I love y'all here. I just really haven't been around as much lately, have I?
