I love this. So saving it in my memories and bookmarks. I love Arthur's reasons of why Gwen is so important to him as a king. I love how u used all the characters in the reasons. I especially love how even though Gwen is Arthur's wife, she knows Merlin holds his heart. She helps keep him together through everything and I love that.
The last part though just kills me. Thank u for this. It shows that even if they are a legand, Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot, Morgana, Gwen, Uther, and Gauis are still humans. Still based on real people and still can love. This shows everything u think u know about the legends only to learn more each time u read or watch anything based on the Arthurian legends. Who knows, maybe Merlin was young and not only Arthur's manservant but in love with him. I halfway am in love with both Arthur and Merlin and they are not real at all, just characters based on real people that was the basis of a legend still around and popular today.

Besides weren't they a little more open to same sex lovin' back then? Or is that just something I made up in my head. Either way, Gwen might not be my favorite person in the legands, Arthur and Merlin tie, this look into why Arthur adores her is helping me actually like her a bit more. Though I still wish Arthur had never married Gwen. Then he wouldn't have had to deal with Lancelot's and Gwen's betrayel.

Okay, this is kindof long. I want to say again that I adore this. It's a beautiful piece of writing into Arthur's mind. Beautiful, just beautiful.

Thank you! I really appreciate your comments! Yes, I too did not like Gwen's role in the whole thing - legends and show. And I particularly disliked where the second season was going...(more Arthur/Gwen subtext...text...)

I don't dislike Gwen, I just don't like her role.

So I felt the need to justify her relationship with Arthur. They are friends. And yes, Merlin does hold Arthur's heart. ^-^

I dislike her because she can't make up her mind betwenn Lancelot and Arthur. She dangles both of them and is basically a slut in the legends. The show is getting there but they still have Arthur/Merlin so I'm good.

Before anyone asks, I just have to say Merlin is a bottem, not a top. Unless he's riding Arthur. Sorry but I can't see Merlin as a top even if he isn't a virgin to either sex. He's to much of a submissive even with some Dom qualities. Again I'm sorry but I had to say this so no one wonders why I don't seem to change the order.

Lolz yeah. I was so excited when the episode Lancelot and Guinevere came out...because I thought we were going to have them be together once and for all...but it was disappointing.

I do think Gwen truly like Lancelot. And I would completely be fine with that.

And yes...XD Merlin is bottom. I can't see him as top either. It just wouldn't make sense at all...>.

Not with Arthur. No matter when or where they are Arthur is still a prat, a prince, and Merlin's Dom. Always.

Why can't the writers put Lancelot and Gwen together? They already turned the whole legand around why not that part? Put Arthur with Merlin, they are 'destined' for each other. :D ;)
