After listening to not only Brad Paisley's version of You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive but Patty Loveless' as well I have more than decided Bps version should not be used. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy BPs music but this don't is bluegrass, not something he excels at. It's also a very haunting song if dine correctly which in the contexts its been used in it SHOULD be. I've decided that is much rather hear an "old voice" sing this. Not necessarily an old person but an old voice. My recommendations would be as follows
1. "Whisperin" Bill Anderson
2. Jamey Johns
3. Trace Adkins
4. Josh Turner
The more I think and listen though Jamey Johnson us quickly moving to the top. Take a listen to Cover your eyes or Lonesome Song and tell me you don't hear it
