Busy bee too early for spring
Now that my last midterm (which I think I did fairly good! I manged to answer all the questions and wrote like my life depended on it, which is rather true lol) was finished today, I can finally get back to working on my little art projects! I really saddens me I have left a lot in the dust. I still wonder when I could get back on track. Oh well, we must move on!
To do list:
- Prizes for Z/A and Slayers Challenge (3 to go!)
- Hetalia: Turk/Hun "belly dance" valentine pic
- Art Trade: OCs with a new DA friend.
- Rezo in awesome Heian outfit, plus most likely an Ozer addition in 12-layer robes! (I can hear Amber squeee somewhere. XD)
- Inkblot Fibby and Xellos the Coner need some smashing superhero outfits (lol this is where I insert izo_chan's stencil signals she's working on)
- Rezo and Fibby tributes. Yup I didn't forget them.
- Fringe: DA meme amberpalette, or should I say Walter?, told me about
- Z/A comic request

If you love Baccano! you will like this. I has a unique style of storytelling and while it's still too early to tell, I'm sure you'll find something interesting in each episode. Something to ponder or something to find laugh about.

I was sold when I saw the art style but I have some doubts on the Studio backing it. Nevertheless, the story is quite interesting and the dialogues are entertaining! They are pretty simple but there's something rather complex about them, too.
In literature, I've been having a addiction to Darren Shan's Cirque du Freak. I don't care if it's a novel for teenagers, I love it! The sad thing is I can finish one volume in several hours, which means in a few days, I would already be reading the next volume! My newest love is the Larten/Arra pair. Larten is the vampire mentor of the story's hero, Darren, and Arra is someone Darren gets to know later on. They're both vampires and what is interesting to note that in this particular series, vampires are unable to bear children! WHOA! People always have their own spin of vampires but I'm liking Shan's take on it more and more and more! Okay, back on track, they can't bear kids but they can have a formal arrangement and stay as "mates", another term for girlfriend or boyfriend if you will. Larten and Arra were in such a relationship but for some reason had to stop. However, they still remain good friends and I just can't help but find that rather cute and sweet. Arra is nothing like any woman because she is very strong-willed and proud (like every vampire is) and is no doubt experienced in battle. Larten is a very stoic man and experienced in battle himself but when these two talk (though qutie briefly), I can tell they show more of their real selves. Which is why i love Larten and Arra all the more. In the Japanese manga, there is a picture dedicated to them and I just melted. I really can't wait to see it when it gets released in the US. I put so much emphasis on these two becuase *SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER* Arra dies!!!! That really made me sad and it got worse when Larten was mourning. You will find out that it doesn't take much to make me laugh or cry.
