I should follow manga updates and just do this weekly....

...because I don't like the surprises my academic schedule gives every single week. Especially if they're exams because I'm such a bad exam taker. I get sweaty hands and I write like I'm a doctor (some wierd half-cursive half-print style lol). I'm sure I did well in my Japanese class but I think I did average on Art History (on Japan, surprise! XD)

Anyways to other news...I've joined in the help_haiti bidding threads after reading dqbunny's posts today! It's a community that aims to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti through auctions/bidding various forms of art and writing. You setup an offer, people bid for it, money goes to charity, and you hold up your end of the bargain and finish your offer. If you want to help, there's various sections of auctions listed on the top right of the page. Follow the rules and you should be well on your way. Bidding lasts until January 20.
dqbunny already posted some of the people bidding but I'll repeat them here with my bidding thread as well.

Mine: Bid!
dqbunny: Bid!
haro: Bid!
lycorne: Bid!

Next, have you guys heard of "Cirue du Freak" by Darren Shan? It's a vampire novel, which I think is better than Twilight in terms of story and concept of vampires. (No sparkles! HOORAY! Instead we get Half-Vampires! I think that is quite cool!) Many of the vampiric stereotypes are repeated but some come out as rather new since recent media had chosen to leave those out when they were once used in the past. For example, there was one movie that showed drinking the blood of someone about to die allowing you to see their memories. Now, THAT is interesting! You also get to see lots of other scary beasties, like werewolves, snake people, scary tall people, scary short people and more. What makes it more interesting? Well, I'd love to share but it's the best part of the story so you might want to go read it yourself. Here are all the recent chapters: Let's read!

While I'm talking about the story, I've only read the manga and not the novel series. XD I would love to get my hands on the novels in the near future, so I hope they don't go out of print! The manga has a somewhat peculiar yet charming shonen style. If you're familiar with Soul Eater then the style is rather similar. Some might not like the art style but I think it suits the story perfectly! It's still in the process of being printed out in the USA but I heard the manga is already finished publishing! So I'm buying as much as I can before it goes out of print.

Rest of the stuff I want to add are just some fanart updates and plans. Oh, and I'll post up some wallpaper I made from the art of a very awesome Japanese artist: Miwa Shiro (I really don't know if the artist is male or female but i'll just say male for now).
