moving out soonish

Last week, my eldest cousin's wife finally got a job in california so the two of them have decided to move out in two weeks. my other cousin plans to move out within the month of september (the last week being the latest). That leaves half the house empty, which would leave me, my brother, my aunt, and my uncle. We live in a large rented house in the suburbs, so the rent should be huge, but with 7 people, it's fairly affordable. Same rent but half the household present means twice the rent for the remaining tenants. Not exactly a pleasant idea for our walltes so we've decided to move out before school starts. This gave us a chance to look at apartments near or in downtown seattle, which also would be closer to the university i attend.

I think we've considered about 5 apartments so far but the Uwajimaya Village apartments is our best option. It actually is fairly afforable and the accessiblity is great. (Heck, an Asian suppermarket exists right below the apartments! how convenient is that?) It's a good thing I don't drive yet cos they charge $146 per month per car to use the garage space. I LOVE the rooms. they are so clean and i like putting posters on clean walls (but i might have to buy my own drawers and tables since it's not furnished). If we do move into uwajimaya village, i expect it to be really noisy with the highway and bus station nearby. the only thing i'm afraid of is the high crime rates in the area because (apparently) the internationl district where the apartment is located has a lot of weirdos walking at night. My classes are usually in the morning and early afternoon so i don't need to worry but my brother might not be so lucky. His business programs sometimes forces him to take classes at odd hours. My uncle did offer to meet him at the bus stop if that does happen so he won't be alone when he walks home (it's a fairly short distance but anything can happen right?).

The lady who entertained us and walked us through the rooms was really nice. We saw the studio type, the one-bedroom type, and the two-bedroom type in different layouts. I like all of them so i don't care which we get but the problem is my aunt was a one-bedroom apartment separate from ours but not completely far. Same floor but just not right beside each other. they did have something like that but they advised us to respond ASAP before someone else gets it. i completely understand that and i do hope we get to decide soon cos i would like to live there. (if you didn't know, uwajimaya has an Asian Bookstore called Kinokuniya that has A LOT of anime and manga goodies. since we're living right on top it, it's pure happiness for me.) plus, i'll only be 20 minutes away from school! i would get at least 30 more minutes of sleep every night. 8D

and here is where i end my unusually long post ^^;;
