He did it because he cares about you, the same way I care about Yuu. And he'd never have done it if I hadn't been pushing him towards it and telling him it'd be fine. So...yeah. Do you really have so little faith in your friend you have to force him to do something he's not ready to do yet? It hasn't even been a week. There's barely time to gather one's thoughts in such a short time, let alone plan a course of action to fix it. At least let the persons concerned think their situation first, try to succeed on their own, fail on their own, before actually trying to meddle with their business.

Stop defending him. Whatever his intentions are, there plenty of way to carry them out. He chose what he thought was the best.

And if you're so unfeeling and unforgiving as to do this to Bane because he made one mistake, then I almost hope that Yuu wants nothing to do with you. Because I don't want to watch him collapse when you throw him away for being human and screwing up, like everyone does. Including you, I'm sure.
