so... my dad has a facebook... wtf??? Old people aren't allowed to communicate through the internet...
Last sunday, me and my host family, along w/ the kid who used to be their host kid last semester went out to Kyoto for a day trip. It was really nice, we went to 天満官 to watch the plums blossom, then we headed to Ginkaku-ji which I've never been to, but since it was under renovation, my host mother was like, I'm not letting you see something crappy, so let's go to Arashiyama. I've never been there and was disappointed because we didn't go to monkey park :( We did see the bamboo forest, a pretty river surrounded by mountains, and the most Japanesey pond ever, I'll upload pics on facebook.
The new gaijin at the school annoy me and I sound all elitist (sp?) by saying that. There's one girl who hunts Japanese boys and she has the huge hideous boil on her face. Remember my bird story where I tried to help the bird w/ the 3 Japanese kids? The guy from that story, Kousuke, was trapped in a conversation w/ her, and kept looking at me from across the CIE Lounge with a look saying "help me"... So I was like in Japanese, Hey, Kousuke can you help me w/ my homework? Sorry for interrupting... he smiled was like sure!!!! and told boil girl that he has to go... she looked disappointed and he ran over to me and said "THANK YOU!!!" Boil girl was also trying to talk to one of my Japanese classmates, Taichi, and me, him, and another guy was making fun of her in Japanese in her face and she didn't understand... it's really douchey but on the bright side, I can make fun of people in Japanese now :) There's also this one girl who annoys me because of the way she treats Kousuke. She treats him like a little boy. One day, Kousuke got a text message and I was like, "Oooh someone is popular w/ the ladies" and the girl is all like really? let me see!!! grabs his phone and runs around w/ it trying to read his message. Kousuke, being Japanese, says please stop, don't read my message, really politely. I had to be all like, hey give him his phone back now... then I made fun of her in Japanese to Kousuke, but I didn't know she took five years of Japanese and understood what she was saying, so now she hates me... but I'm cool w/ that...
other than that things are going great, although I really hate my afternoon classes... :( I typed this entry on my host family's computer and the keyboard is all wacky :(
