things are lookin up!!! kind of...
So Friday, my dad finally got my airline ticket to Japan. We were holding out for a pretty cheap ticket. All we were finding were tickets for $1200 but we rode it out and negotiated and we got one for $594. I need to learn my dad's haggling skills.
I'm leaving Sunday August 31 from O'hare to Detroit, then from Detroit to Osaka, Japan. I'm not looking forward to that 16 hour flight especially now I found out my mother flaked on the laptop. I know my mother is in a financial pinch, but she promised me a laptop before I leave and now I have to wait a month... I just didn't want to get my hopes up like I always do...
Saturday, I got an eye exam... my first one since 2005... I know that's a long time for an exam, but I've been bugging my dad for the past three years and he ignored it... oh well... well, I have these trial pair of contacts in and I can see better but it feels weird for some reason, I guess I gotta get used to them. I got some disposable contacts that last for like six months but I also got a pair of glasses... I haven't worn glasses since 2004, I looked weird in them. I only got them for a backup because sometimes my contacts like to pop out of my eye...
Today at work was alright, it was just me, Mike,and Aaron making the cookies today and my boss paid me for 12 hours today even though I only worked six, the nice thing to do is to tell him about it... but I'm not so nice...
I also went to my cousin's daughter's first bday party... I wikipedia'ed it... that makes her my first cousin once removed. I'm a nerd... it was nice, I got to see most of my family for a last time if I don't see them within the next 15 days... I know!!! 15 days and I'll be in the land of the rising sun... I'm fricken excited... and 5 more days of work!!! (I'm doing a little dance right now)
