grrr. why do they assume that no one told her, told her the nature and means of his revenge? the fact that the whole town would have known, the people she did business with, the places she worked at would have heard, would likely have participated in 'her' funeral procession and the burial of what was assumed to be her body. when she was rescued i'

That they wouldn't tell her about Rakuninmura, fine. This IS Kenshin's story to tell. But the true plan?
Plus they must all be giving her looks of "oh GOD she really is alive :'D" Even that would be weird to her. She knows them and is not dumb, she'd notice!

kaoru would have pounded them for making her wait for an explanation, she would have pounded them for making kenshin live through that again, she would have pounded them just on general principles... i want to pound every author who makes kenshin have to explain what enishi's true jinchuu was. i also want to pound tomoe for telling enishi that she had changed her mind, but she didn't change her mind because she told enishi to go home to edo because she didn't want his hands stained with 'this business', so when she finally changed her mind at the last minute enishi never had a clue.

What? Tomoe did change her mind. She and Enishi both knew that she had gone to Kytoto to kill Kenshin. By the time she fell in love with Kenshin and obviously abandoned her plan, she thought that Enishi was still at home; she had no idea he'd followed her until he showed up on her doorstep. So obviously she told her little brother to go back home where she thought he would be safe. It wasn't her fault the little brat thought he knew best and decided to stick around anyway, against her wishes. I hate when people unfairly bash Tomoe; she's a fantastic character and I love her.

tomoe's talk with enishi... starts at volume 20 page 109 -- they speak of how he got involved with the bakufu and that he's her contact-- the next page has her telling him that he's the eldest son and that he should go back to edo. she says, ""i can't let you dirty your hands with this."" and at his protest she just says ""go back home enishi."" <--there is no explanation there is no statement that she's changed her mind since she hadn't changed her mind yet. she didn't say anything when he exclaimed ""YOU'RE PROTECTING HIM, HE'S YOUR ENEMY... STOLE YOUR HAPPINESS!"" and the next page has them saying that she would see him tomorrow indicating that the plan was still on and since he wasn't going to edo that she would be going to meet them as planned... there were no explanations, her statement that she couldn't let him 'dirty his ( ... )
