Of cheesy superheroes and Japanese songbirds that are cures for insomnia…
So it’s been exactly a week (give and take the weekend and the public holiday) at this old-new place. It’s been interesting. So far.
First day was marked by an “introduction” to Hong Kong III movies that are all ahem explicit action with absolutely no plot. Big yawn. I don’t get men really.
Second/third day was more interesting with Wong Kar Wai+surrealism+art noveau+erotica film (with really good-looking male leads), absolutely the most cheesy teen flick I’ve ever watched (but with quite good-looking male leads) and an epic lasting 2+ hours detailing the rise and fall of a violent man (nope - sadly no good-looking male leads but one damn good lead actor).
After the three above, I’ve come to the conclusion that good-looking and damn good lead actors are few and far between - which is why I’m probably going to catch Pirates 3 though the reviews have been hmmm…
And today it’s a superhero blockbuster flick in the morning (alas also with cheesy OMG-inducing lines and oh-so-predictable plot twists) and now its J-pop music videos that are super sleep-inducing - which is why I’m typing this and not finishing watching the music videos.
I seriously need more sleep. Somehow or other, since coming back from the Land of super pretty boys, I’ve been fixated on pretty boys. Actually wait, it’s since coming back from the land of super pretty boys and re-watching the Japanese TV series Gokusen I & II featuring more pretty boys (well actually just 1 in G1 and 1 in G2) that I’ve gotten my G2 pretty boy fixation.
I can’t believe myself really. I’m like what on earth! But still I’m gonna get that G2 pretty boy’s other TV series. Hmmm… This is bad? Ah well good clean entertainment which takes my mind of that particular someone at least. Wonder how’s he doing… Nope not going there. But really what will I do if I bump into him one day? Duck for cover at once, freeze on the spot or just be gracious and smile and walk past/away. For my dignity’s sake I hope it’s the last but um… yeah I have no idea really.
The only thing I’m really sure of is that if the fates are really going to pull that bump-into-him trick on me, the fates had better be nice and choose a day when I really look good. Yes I know - how absolutely female haha.
Right. Enough waffling. Back to music videos that makes me crave my bed. Damn just the thought and I’m already yawning! That’s how powerful the disc is man haha.
