"In the center of attention, Horikita becoming like Erika-sama?"
I'll cross-post this here as well, even if it's not directly about Erika... ^_^
The one actress that has been in the center of all attention throughout the 2nd half of this year is Horikita Maki (20). She's currently in NHK's long-running historical drama "Atsuhime" and in Fuji TV's dorama "Innocent Love" airing during the main time slot of the whole week, Mondays 9pm. It's safe to say that she's currently the most popular young actress in Japan.
However, that popularity also has its bad side. Her surrounding is handling her with great caution and she gets spoiled from all sides, turning her into a braggart. Here's what a reporter has to say about his recent experience during an interview with Horikita.
"She's totally becoming like Sawajiri Erika when she was in perfect form. It already began with the start of the interview where she didn't care to greet back. I'm not sure whether she was tired or not interested, but during the interview it felt like my questions get in one ear and out the other. When I asked her about her coactor in 'Innocent Love,' she bluntly answered, '(He is) ordinary.' I then tried to give her some examples to talk about, she just whispered, 'Yeah, right.' With this Horikita wasn't newsworthy and a strong spirit that could enliven this dorama wasn't present at all. I'm worried that she sooner or later might start to say things like Erika-sama's, 'Not really...' ."
It looks like that the day when Horikita will be called Maki-sama is near.
