Mom and Chaz and I went out on the boat yesterday. We took the 9-hour trip to Meares Glacier. It was really fun. There were like 100 people so we had to sit in a row of chairs without a table, but that was okay. We were up and about most of the day anyway. It was kinda gross in the morning, foggy and drizzly and a little rolly coming around Freemantle and also around Granite Point, but by the time we came back down out of Unakwik the sea had come down QUITE a bit (and it wasn't even that bad to begin with) and the rain had stopped and the sun even came out for a bit in the evening, so all in all, a nice day.

We didn't see any orcas or porpoise (which kinda sucks, orcas are my favorite and they saw some the day before) but we DID see 8 humpback whales. A mom and calf, then later we saw 4 in Chamberlain Bay, then I saw one in the distance outside of Chamberlain, and one as we crossed the Tatitlek Narrows.

Always a fun time. Also, my brother's friend was one of the crew, as were both of his stepsisters, and they had like 10 members of their family on board, so there were a lot of people that we knew on the boat. So much fun!
