thank you, Spud!

This afternoon Kokopelli and I went to the home of mnfiddledragon, ladysea and songwind, to celebrate their 4-year-old Spud's birthday. Kokopelli had a good time, and I got a chance to catch up with my friends, albeit briefly. (It's hard to chat during a preschool-age birthday party.) They had made such a cute Rocket birthday cake (Little Einsteins). They used iced ice cream cones for the engines, and a lollipop for the bauble on top, and it was perfect. So cleverly done!

Spud missed Kokopelli's birthday party in September, and we haven't had a chance to get them together since then. So Spud had a gift for Kokopelli as well as the other way around. And what a gift it was! It was the DVD version of the game Hullabaloo from the Cranium game series. Kokopelli loves it, loves it, loves it. He played it for at least an hour, and was resentful that we turned it off. It's great - it's like a crazy combo of Simon Says and Twister, and the kids never stop moving. I can't wait to take this to Wisconsin for our Thanksgiving trip - Kokopelli and B. are going to have a great time playing this game. And if I know them (and I think I do), the adults will join in.

So thanks, Spud, mnfiddledragon, ladysea and songwind, for a great game. I know he'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it. :)
