Worried...
Having people you know and care about in a place affected by disaster is horrible. I've tried to somehow make sure that my host family and my penpal are safe, but it's so hard when I can't call or email them.
Me and my penpal, Ai, have used snail mail for the last three years so I've lost her email address since I haven't needed it for so long. Now I wish I had kept it somewhere. I can send her a letter, but it will take too long for it to arrive, and who says that her house still remains? She wrote in her last letter that she had moved to a house by the beach, and of course house by the beach + tsunami = not so good. She has a young child as well, born this September.
Did email my host family though, but no reply. I know that the electricity is out in some cities, so I try not to worry to much about that right now. They live on the east coast, Ishikawa prefecture, so if anyone has any news I would appreciate it. :)
I've used "google people finder" to try to search for them, but I haven't found them. I guess that's good?
