Reherasal Weekend! ~ Elisabeth - Act 2
This Saturday and Sunday has been a rehearsal weekend, so we stayed at the theater for two days and rehearsed morning 'till night ^^ We concentrated mainly on the second act of the musical.
I was so nervous, since the second act starts with Lucheni selecting the prettiest girl and all. It's quite a lot of ad lib there. And then it's the solo singing... And the solo dancing... ^^'' However as soon as I'd started being Lucheni the tension let go and the next time I had a good time dancing around! ^.~
Of course I'll have backup "ghosts" (other actors wearing their masks). I like to call 'em "deathlings", since they usually acompanies Death. ^.^
We managed two run-throughs of the act. Then we took scenes that needed work and concentrated on those. We coregraphed Mayerling Waltz (awesome!) and did a chorus line for that one.
We also created another vocal line for "Inget, inget" ("Nothing, Nothing". In Japanese version called "The freedom of the soul".) were there wasn't one before. We wanted Titania (crazy girl) and Sztaray to sing alongside Elisabeth. Though she'll sing most of it herself.
We also coreographer the crownation cermony, "Èljen". We mixed in some Hungarian folk dance and if I may say so, I like it very much. ^^ Although my leg muscles hurt from all the footwork and kneeling! xD
