(no subject)
So it's time to own up and admit that I have NO IDEA how long it will take me to color all of these. It will happen eventually, I swear, but I'm just gonna post the pencils for now so that at least I can stop feeling like such a dork about the whole thing.
First off is Vaati from Zelda! Who I had a lot of fun with, because I was on a huge Loki kick at the time and I was kind of getting fire/air trickster vibes from him. Like he could be the Loki of the Zelda mythos or something, idk? I did not actually beat Minnish Cap.
Then the Grand Highblood from Homestuck! Sitting on a pile of pillows and chilling, drinking Faygo. This one kind of stressed me out a little because backgrounds, but I did enjoy fleshing out how I interpret his costume. I could imagine doing more art of him... maybe, if I wasn't so fail about making art at all.
Then an original character. I tried to include everything, and use a pose that felt like it fit the description and gave him personality. The six-fingered hands were pretty challenging, trying to make that look natural, not making the fingers too narrow or the palms too wide. I like how they came out though, I was pleased.
Then Loki! I was a bit lazy with this one, since the person made two requests and I filled both, but since I have been reading the comic and getting really into him I had to draw him at least once. And kid!Loki is my favorite Loki, those comics are glorious.
And not a request: I found this as an uncompleted sketch in the back of a drawing pad and really liked it. Thor!Harley Quinn! Because her New 52 reboot is so awful and the costume makes me feel genuinely bad for her, and I was just getting into Thor at the time, and she has a hammer? I tried to stick mostly to her nasty new costume, to sort of redeem it. Leave just enough of the funky belts and straps and the bare skin to be recognizable, but try and use that to show strength instead of sexiness.
What on Earth the story would be behind Thor!Harley I have no idea. I suppose the Joker would be Loki or something, and there'd be some fusion of the Thor-Loki relationship with the Harley-Joker one, where she loves him even though he keeps betraying her? Except here she's a god with a magic hammer who gets to beat the crap out of him when she'd had enough. I dunno, I just when perky girly-girls are also tough heavy-hitters.
