OMG, art! Be shocked and amazed.
Star Wars today.
Anakin tinkering with his mechanical arm. There's a whole bunch of meta in my head about it, but now I feel self-conscious all of a sudden, so. Just the picture.
He's shirtless because he has to be able to get at his arm, and when looking at screencaps and stuff I just couldn't figure out how to get the sleeves of his rather tight and stiff-looking uniform out of the way otherwise. And eh, he's in his room. I was originally going to have his discarded clothes lying around the room, but then I got lazy and so I didn't do that.
I've been watching that Clone Wars tv show and find that it does something rather amazing: it makes Anakin likable. I mean, I always liked him in spite of myself because of his character arc and all, but when he's actually on screen in the movies he just makes me cringe. But cartoon Anakin does not! It's like, he can be fatally flawed while still having good traits and a personality! Amazing.
Also, he provides me with a much simpler character model to draw. Perhaps even more valuable!
