GOODBYE SPLINTER!!
so...it's been kinda manic the last while what with the move-in and jobs and classes starting and doing frosh week
I love my frosh - such a great group....known collectively now as "my kids" apparently...lol
thanks to all the people that messaged me with birthday wishes!
I had a lot of surprises for my birthday and the festivities seem to have gone on forever! (from the early august 30th celebration with Steph who has the same birthday as me, to the 4 days of actual birthday celebrations and then final birthday present is this weekend - STONES CONCERT! with kanye west, alice cooper and sloan...i'm quite looking forward to it ...much love to ash and em who got me the ticket for my birthday!)
i love our new apartment...we already have the apartment pets....gone is Splinter...or should i say ALL the Splinters ! no more mice infestations!...instead say hello to our porch spiders Oliver, Dolce and Gabba (named by miss Amanda) not to mention the giant beast Ziggy Stardust (the spider from Mars...or at least he looks like he could be...HUGE AND SCARY LOOKING!) and then there is Dougal the fuzzy catepillar...who looks like Dougal from the magic roundabout cos he's so fuzzy....he visits us every night walking around the ledge of the porch....
as much as it seems we've accepted the presence of the spiders (naming them and such....) they have GOT TO GO!! they give me the creepy crawlies when you get caught in the webs. Dougal, on the other hand can stay as long as he likes....
and we get caught in the webs quite often....we've taken to entering the house by climbing up and over the porch...i think we've used the front door less than a dozen times in the 3 weeks we've been here....everyone else just hops the porch too and just wanders in and scares the bejeesus out of you when you don't expect them....I don't think Ryan has seen our front door at all!
on that note we must hop the porch and depart to the store that is the Super....thanks to conjunctivitus and a nasty cold i've used up all the TP as hankies....we're on our last roll...glad that my eye is better though...i was getting bruises from wandering around the house in dark glasses!
