(no subject)
wow...what a random day of craziness
it was....INCONCEIVABLE!....really. absolutely. almost.
mindy left today :( (tecnically yesterday)
emily leaves tomorrow :( (technically today)
nathan leaves tuesday:( (tecnically tomorrow)
and even worse....katy left a few days ago and i didn't know and didn't get to say goodbye! :(
i can't believe everyone's leaving...some people i don't expect to get to say goodbye to which makes me really sad...not that it makes much of a difference in the overall scheme of events....and some i didn't get to which is even sadder! so crazy as paula would say....so crazy.
but there's going to be a lot of people staying for the summer, ashton, sara of course, josette, barrett, amanda and alanna, aretha and possibly derek....summer is upon us....it actually felt like summer today which was lovely.summer sunshine...buds on the trees....halifax is too darn windy...but it was all in all, a lovely day.
Mindy left us all kinds of goodies when she left so i reverted to my childhood and had pop-tarts for breakfast (i actually can't remember having pop-tarts for breakfast as a kid more than like once when they had just come out at home in the 90's...i feel old!!) followed by a lunch of butterfinger crisps (ok why don't they have those here?......why? actually on second thoughts i don't think my waistline would be happy if they did have them here) and other weird american junk food. all while watching about 3 hours of the family channel with sara and ash. that nuts movie "beautiful girl" was on with the chick who dresses up in the sqirrel-swimsuit and one with the goldfish in the boobs (?!?!) and...well...... after watching the whole movie about this "beautiful girl" ashley summed up the film with the comment "y'know for a beautiful girl she's kinda gross..." :) ooooooh ashley.
then went downtown with emily so i could spend some time with her before she left for africa, and we had bubble tea! i'd never had it before so it was great! (kinda perturbing in a way....but good.) then the rest of kline street minus ashton who hadn't got back yet met us in peel pub and we stayed there for a bit and hung out and i had a lovely lovely day. *all smiles*
it was kinda funny to see barrett eat a burger and fries for an "appetizer" followed by about 2 dozen medium spicy wings of his own and then eating like half a dozen that derek couldn't finish and then moan that he was full but only because of the beer.....nevermind the approx. 5lbs of food he just consumed....it was the BEER that made him full lol ....that boy is a bottomless pit!
sara and i made up a ipod playlist for em's trip and after battling with itunes for an hour (worst peice of bloody software on my computer) , got it burnt onto a data cd and took it over to kline and got distracted for the rest of the night....it was great to hang out with everyone :) good end to the day....we even got candy from emily.....like i need more sugar with the goodies in the kitchen....
and i was supposed to go to bed an hour ago....at least. toooo distracted...and actually in a good mood. kinda.
