Anyone want to review a yaoi manga?

Aug 31, 2013 21:09

Hi all,
Sorry I've fallen down on posting again! I'm not beaten yet! I definitely will post more positive change and personal posts soon. A friend requested a new book to review, and I noticed that some of the books had gone into production since I wrote this, so I'll repost, and maybe one or two of you who might have considered reviewing in the past will be inspired to take the plunge!

This is how it goes: you request a book; it gets put into your account at e-manga for three months. You read and post your review at e-manga, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.

Sound good? Here's the list (these are all digital yaoi or shounen ai manga that I have translated):

Sink Into You (shounen ai?) Isino Aya
Weekend of Dreams (shounen ai?) Isino Aya
Prince & Butler (hot hot yaoi) Rayra Katagiri
A Convenient Man (yaoi) Yuiji Aniya
Welcome to Nyan Cafe (shoujo or shounen ai) Kira Nakamura
Obey Your Secretary! (yaoi) Choko Kabutomaru
Love Makes People Grow (yaoi) Marry Maiko
Sumida River Love Suicide (shounen ai?/yaoi) Mayu Taumi
Flame of the Tropical Butterfly (yaoi) Megumu Minami
Yes It's Me (shounen ai?) Tomoko Yamashita
Ultras (yaoi) est em
Seduce Me After the Show (yaoi?) est em
Awakend Dreamer (yaoi) Azusa Kurokawa
Fantasy Paradise (yaoi or shounen ai, humorous) Rokka Sugiura
Over Drive (yaoi) Koume Nakamura
Silly Gossip (yaoi/shounen ai) Suzume Nogaki

Also, keep an eye out for these works, coming out soon (SOON SOON SOON PLEASE! LOL)

To Sow a Seed (yaoi/shounen ai) Terashima
Polaris Bell (shounen ai) Terashima
Distance to Polaris (shounen ai) Terashima
A Day in August, Tatsuki

I'm really, really looking forward to these last four books coming out. A Day in August is a lovely story about a city boy who flees to a country town in the wake of a sex scandal and is befriended by a boy and his grandfather. And I really, really love Terashima. She really writes a good book full of likable characters and fun details. Her sense of humor is woven through the whole story, but all three books are romances with a serious side. Wonderful reads!
