300 messages
Wow, I just logged in to Livejournal for the first time in maybe a year (?) and I had 300 messages in my inbox.
Mostly alerts I had setup to know when people I follow posted.
Weird... Just a few years ago I would check Livejournal many times a day... now I feel like my days of avid fangirling over japanese idols are behind me.
How did it start? First I was a Oguri Shun fan, then MatsuJun and Arashi, then Jin, Kame and KAT-TUN.
It started slowly in 2005 but really reached a high 2006. I'm so glad that I was in the fandom at that time.
2006:

G no Arashi
Kurosagi (the first drama that I watched as it was airing)
It really was one of the best times of my fangirl "career". The others being my trips to Japan and the US, the concerts I've been to and the friends I've met and spent time with.
I haven't rejected fandom, I still get the latest Arashi, KAT-TUN or Kisumai songs but I don't listen to them right away like I used to. I don't watch any of the performances or PVs or TV shows. I haven't watched a drama in a long time.
I keep informed via RSS feeds and by listening to JEPcast but none of the news really interest me...
I think I'm waiting... waiting for THE news... the news that I will hear Jin sing again.

Well, I didn't think I would go there when I started this post. ^^' I just started thinking back and writing then the nostalgia took over me. It really saddens me but the truth is that I really fell out of the JE fandom when Jin stopped making music. Oh I know he must still make some music at home... but we can't hear him now, will we ever hear him again? I still hope so. ^-^
So I'll go back to my new fandoms, mostly american tv shows I follow through hypable.com (which has replaced Livejournal as my homepage ^^') and gamers I follow on Youtube. And I'll wait...
