And whoops, clicked the wrong reply link. Sorry about that. -_-
“Roxas.”
A voice made him stop in his tracks. It was no one he’d met before, he was almost sure, but the voice sounded eerily familiar, as if it was some forgotten memory. A redhead with spiky hair, wearing a black cloak, was standing behind him. He knew this person, instinctively.
“You’re Axel?” Roxas asked, surprising himself and wondering how he knew.
“Yeah.” He grinned, but it seemed painful. “We were best friends, once.”
“Look, I would talk, but I don’t really have time for this,” he said apologetically. He kept walking, but Axel called out to him.
“Wait,” he said, and Roxas turned because the voice was so pleading. The red-haired man pulled out handcuffs from his cloak and handed them to him. “If you’re going to leave me again, cuff me to the fence backwards so I don’t see you this time. I don’t think I could bear to watch you walk away from me again.”
It was an odd request, certainly. And from the little flashes of memories and painful jolts his chest kept giving and from the LOOK Axel was giving him, he was sure they were best friends now. Because what kind of person trusted you so much-maybe even loved you so much, a traitorous voice in his head whispered-that they were willing to let you handcuff them to a metal fence, knowing you could do anything to them? His three current best friends didn’t trust him that much, but this person was something else. Roxas must have meant something to him. He accepted the handcuffs, and then stopped.
Even he wasn’t that cruel. He wasn’t sure if this would work with a complete stranger, but it was worth a shot. Besides, he was remembering more and more as the redhead stood there, awaiting his decision.
Roxas took the redhead’s right hand and cuffed it, and he heard Axel sigh. He walked over toward the fence, but Roxas stopped him. He put the handcuff around his left wrist and secured it. He looked up at Axel and smiled. “Is this better than the fence?”
Axel was beaming. “Rox…” He pulled the blonde into his chest and wrapped his arms around him. “I missed you so much. I think Demyx wasn’t crazy; we do have hearts. Mine shattered when you left. I wasn’t sure before, but I love you. I love you, I love you, and I love you more than you could ever know.”
“There could be trouble. If you come with me, I mean. I don’t know what the hell I’m getting into,” Roxas warned him.
Axel yanked on the handcuff, pulling them closer together. He held Roxas’s hand with his cuffed hand, wrapped his un-cuffed arm around him, and kissed him deeply. “No, you really don’t,” he agreed. “That’s why I’m coming with you.”
Axel took a deep breath, and pulled out a small key. “If I unlock us, will you promise not to leave me again?”
Roxas laughed loudly. “I’ve got two Keyblades, doofus. I would have left already if I wanted to.”
Axel grinned sheepishly. “Right. Sorry.” He unlocked the handcuffs and put them back in his pocket.
“Aren’t you going to throw those away?” Roxas grabbed his hand again, and laced their fingers together.
“Hell no.” Axel smirked. “You’ll need them when you cuff me to the bed tonight.”
Roxas blushed, but he squeezed Axel’s hand.
Axel squeezed back.

I just keep thinking about Axel after Roxas left and going "d'aww, that's so heartbreaking." So I decided to do something about it!
