"But I just wanted to keep you company," Kaa sighed again. "And I need to protect you from Shere Khan."
The brunette stopped resisting, unaware of Kaa's tail advancing up the boy's torso while still coiled around his pelvis. "Shere Khan?"
"Shere Khan the tiger," Kaa said admonishingly. "When he sees mancubs like you, he... well..."

And then, silly, naive Sora realized why this snake had hauled him up this tree, right as he heard the sound of scratching at the bottom of it.
"Kaa?" a deep voice said.
The snake scowled, sighing through his nose, before putting on a cheerful facade. "Coming!"
And Kaa just left him there, still wrapped up in the coils, and Sora could not help but feel as if the grip had tightened around him. He needed to get out of this somehow. Why hadn't he realized this sooner?
"Oh hello Shere Khan..."
Shere Khan?! He really needed to get out of this! The brunette began to struggle against the coils, loosening them bit by bit. Kaa didn't seem to realize what was going on as he was attempting to lie to Shere Khan.
"Oh, that? No, I was just... speaking... to myself..."
Sora wriggled his shoulders and shimmied his hips, finding that he was getting more and more room to do so as the coils loosened. Soon he was able to lift his arms, and he pulled himself up and out of the pile of Kaa before shoving it off of the branch.
Kaa's body landed on his head.
