And he had been taken, taken by deathly cold cords that drifted out of the darkness and pulled him through a spiraling wave of darkness, of horrendous visions of Riku and Kairi, of death, of pain...
And he was here, blind, his Keyblade gone. His sight and his Keyblade. The two things that stopped him falling to the darkness. But somehow, he was alive. He hadn't expected to survive this. He felt whole, alive...certainly not scattered to the wind like all the people who fell to the Heartless.
Vaguely, he became aware that there were people around him. They were talking, but he couldn't really hear them. It was like they had removed all his senses, until he was nothing but a blabbering thing, not even human any more. Gradually, however, he realized he could hear them; shock must have took him for moments. And when he listened, he heard things which made him chill to the bone.
"Ha! We finally have the boy!"
"What are we going to do with him, guys?"
"We have the Keyblade, we should kill him! He's taking up our oogie time!"
"Quiet, all of you! You should know that they Keyblade master is worth far more to us alive than dead."
"What are we to do with him then, Maleficent?"
Sora was sure he'd heard the name before, in Traverse Town. Leon and Cid might have told him that, but at the moment, he couldn't care less. He needed to get out of here, before these people killed him.
"We have the Keyblade. I suppose you might as well do what you do to the other prisoners."
"Good. We haven't had a release in weeks."
"But...he's so...well, young!"
"And when has that ever stopped you, Hook? What is it that you pirates do? Rape, pillage, and loot?"
"Would you just get on with it?"
"Sorry, Maleficent. I think I'll start..."
Start what? The woman who just spoke moved behind him, with a strange slippery gliding motion.
"Not so tough now, are you, Keyblade master?" The voice was so close to his ear that Sora jumped and began wriggling, determined to escape his magical bonds. But it was no use. Suddenly, something slimy moved on his back and he jumped. What the hell was that? A hand, a finger? It moved slowly and he felt suckers. A tentacle? What the...who was this woman?
He was started to panic now as the tentacle moved slowly down his back towards his entrance. This was a dream, a nightmare, a horrendous nightmare. Suddenly, pain. Unbelievable pain as the tentacle entered him, probed, stretched, pushed. He was hardly aware of the other bodies moving towards him, of someone laughing raucously, of someone ripping his mouth open and shoving something inside.
His last thought before he was taken in my the darkness, destroyed from inside by these monsters, was of the red-haired girl he last saw in the cave on his island, and of the silver-haired boy he had been abandoned by. Gradually the horror stopped as the people realized the boy they had been destroying mentally and physically was no more, no longer stopping the spread of the Heartless across the world.
