"I don't think I've been homesick in my entire life," Link said with a shrug. "Then again, I guess I don't really have a home to be sick for."
Sora frowned. "I thought you said you lived in a small village?"
"I'm an orphan...the people were good to me, but I never had any real desire to live there," Link said with a sigh. "I was probably always fated to go adventuring, get out, see the world... I just never thought it would be on anything like this scale."
"You and me both," Sora muttered.
Link chuckled, getting up and pulling on his green overtunic and boots. "Well, I'm supposed to go see one of the villagers here and find out where my next destination is. You coming?"
"Sure."
They wandered around town for a while, Link pointing out various homes and shops to a curious Sora. Finally, they found the man they were looking for in an underground cavern, looking at an owl statue. Link and the man chatted for a bit while Sora examined the statue.
It's practically purring with ancient, magical power. He put his hand out to touch it, and yanked it back as it burned him. Hope it's not dangerous.
Sora turned, attempting to subtly get Link's attention, but the blonde was deep in conversation with the other man. After a few minutes, they stepped apart. The men held up a hand in farewell as the glasses-wearing man climbed up the ladder. "That was Shad," Link said, at Sora's curious look. "He's the leading historical expert around this area, and I was hoping to find some clues from him about what to do next."
"Link," Sora said urgently, "That statue over there has enormous magical powers. It burned me when I touched it."
Link frowned. "I know. Midna's alternating between approval of you and griping at me." He laughed and pulled out a glowing rod and a leather-backed book. "I didn't want to draw Shad's attention to it because I felt the magic of the Dominion Rod after he marked the locations of the other owl statues on my map."
"Oh," Sora said, feeling rather stupid.
"It's fine. Thanks for the heads-up anyway." He walked over and dropped a light kiss on Sora's temple, who felt his face light up like fire. "You're a better traveling companion than Midna already," he whispered, flinching with a grin.

"Yes!" Link laughed. He pulled a map out and pointed to a series of red dots. "We're here, and we want to get to those circles. Those are where the other owl statues are. Midna can warp us pretty close to those far ones, but it's just as easy to ride to these."
Sora knew his face betrayed his complete and total fear of getting on that mare again as Link let out a full-throated laughed. "Epona can carry both of us, I think, if you'd rather I ride with you.”
He breathed a sigh of relief. "Alright, I can deal with that."
Link winked. "Let's leave, and then I can show you a more fun way to spend time on horseback."
Fun? Sora wondered privately, but said nothing, instead opting to take Link's outstretched hand as he pulled them out of the hole in the floor.
After stocking up on supplies, they left the village. Epona was still tethered to her place near the small body of water and grass, chewing amiably as they walked up. "Epona, girl," Link called. "I have a question."
Link suddenly transformed into a wolf. Epona and Sora jumped in surprise. After a series of growls and barks on Link's part and whinnys on Epona's, Sora figured out that they were having a conversation. He figured out it was an argument when Link rubbed Epona's leg with his muzzle and she attempted to squash him with her hooves.
This continued for several minutes, and Sora was about to wade in to try and dispel the argument as Link suddenly let out a high-pitched whine. He woofed a few more times as Epona--did she just stick her tongue out at him?--appeared to be placated and gave up the argument. The horse sighed heavily as Link transformed back into a human.
Link patted her sides affectionately. "See, I knew you'd come arou--hey, don't glare at me!"
Epona nickered, and Sora laughed. "What was that about?"
Link laughed. "I was persuading her to take both of us to the owl statue while you and I are...busy...on her back."
Sora muttered warningly, but Link just laughed. "Trust me. You'll be fine; it'll be fun!" His blinding grin bordered on maniacal, and Sora sighed in resignation as the blonde lifted him into the saddle. It was only after sitting there for some time that Sora realized what was wrong.
"Link, are you insane?!" Sora shrieked. "I'm not riding backwards!"
Link pouted. "Aww, come on, Sor. It'll be fun. Please?"
Sora felt the last vestiges of his will and sanity crumble under the pout. "You better know what you're doing," he grumbled.

Sora blushed as Link's arm wrapped around his waist, coaxing him to lean into the blonde's chest. He grumbled half-heartedly before falling silent.
He felt, rather than heard Link's chuckle. "We're not in any real rush--it won't be dark for a few solid hours, but we've got a full hour or so of riding to do and I figured we could make the best of it.”
To Link's credit, they did--a good portion of the trip was spent between light kissing and full-on making out, only stopping to breathe or to recover from Epona's jostling. They slowed to a stop just outside of a patch of ruins, and Link reluctantly slid out from under Sora. "Wait right here, okay?"
Sora nodded dazedly as the blonde ran off, muscles gleaming in the light of the afternoon sun. Sora heard a cry and felt the rush of activated magic, shortly before Link returned, jogging up the clearing. He mounted Epona and lifted Sora back onto his lap, grinning. "One down, and the next one isn't too far from here."
Link smiled as Sora attacked his lips. "Weren't worried, were you?"Sora huffed and managed to hit him in between kisses. "Jerk," he breathed, before settling into Link's embrace.
"Say, Sora." Sora glanced up at a smirking blonde. "Ever had sex on a horse?"
His head shot up. "What?! No! Link! What if we get attacked?!"
"I cleared this area of monsters earlier."
"What will people say?!"
Link laughed, gesturing to the landscape speeding by. "Do you see any people--for miles?"
Sora, flustered, attempted to come up with a coherent argument. As Link was attached to his neck and sucking at a rather sensitive spot, this was difficult. "What if we fall?!"
Link kissed him fiercely. "I told you, Sora. I will never let you fall."
He let out a strangled moan as Link palmed the ever-growing bulge in his pants. Sora grinned, half from pleasure and half from victory, as he declared "You don't have any lube!"
Link began kissing him again and reached a hand down to his saddlebags. He pulled out a slender tube. "Will healing salve do?"
Sora groaned. "This will be, by far, the stupidest thing I have ever done."

Sora winced as a rush of cold air whipped past his suddenly-naked thighs. Link ran his hands gently down his thighs in apology. As a testament to his balance skills (which Sora would from here on out never underestimate), he managed to get the salve open while continuing the incredible suction.
A cold finger entered him, and he was about to complain when Link took him deep into his throat. Sora moaned, and all coherent thought fled.
A second and third finger pushed their way in, massaging Sora's inner walls in an attempt to distract him from the pain. It burned, but it was bearable. At this point, he was completely distracted by the rush of cool air on his rock-hard erection as Link bent slightly to push his breeches to his knees.
Sora watched, fascinated, as Link stroked himself with the lube with one hand. The pale hand stopped, and he glanced up to see a pair of blue eyes watching him.
"You ready?" Sora nodded, and the fingers withdrew, leaving him suddenly empty. Link's hands went to his hips, massaging and stroking in slow circles. "Put your hands on my arms.”
Sora did as he was instructed, and Link lifted him up, as if he weighed no more than a feather. The tip of Link's erection brushed at his entrance, and Sora shivered in anticipation. Link gently lowered Sora down, hissing as Sora's ring of muscle clamped down in reflex. "Take deep breaths," Link urged, waiting until Sora relaxed before lowering him a bit further.
Once Sora was fully settled, Link kept one hand on his hip and used the other to move Sora's hands to his shoulders.
"Comfortable?"
Sora nodded, and Link breathed a sigh of relief. "Epona, gallop."
They suddenly took off at an alarming rate, and Sora clenched. They bounced before coming down sharply on Epona's back, and it drove Link further into Sora. Link adjusted a bit, and they both let out loud moans as Link's erection fully hit Sora's prostate on the next bounce.
Link moved his hand from Sora's down to the leaking tip of his erection, trapped between their bodies. He circled the tip with a finger before stroking him quickly, and Sora came with a sharp cry. The sound of his name reverberated off the canyon walls as Sora clenched around him, and Link came, leaning forward to muffle his cry in Sora's shoulder.
With shaky muscles, Link gingerly lifted Sora off of him. "You okay?"
Sora's eyes were glazed over. "Yeah. A little more than okay. Yeah."
