Glee Fan Art - "Letting Go"

Feb 19, 2012 22:09

Long time no see-- er, write-- everyone! I'm really only here this time to drop off a piece of fan art I hurriedly drew one night last week when inspiration hit me hard. This is not just fan art for Glee, however; it's fan art for Glee fanfiction. It's my earnest attempt at illustrating a moment in a beautiful yet heart-rending scene from Into the Depths, part 2 of a five-part Dungeons & Dragons themed fantasy Glee fanfic. It is currently a WIP and is being written by airgeer (she is also on Tumblr under the same name). The bit of text behind the cut and below the picture comes directly from the fic.

“He smiled,” Lauren said, unable to understand. “He knew he was going to die, he knew, and he smiled like he was happy about it.”

The title (Letting Go) is taken from a piano piece I was listening to as I put the finishing touches on this, called "Letting Go" by Isaac Shepard. Nope, never said I was creative with my titles. You can listen to it here.

Anyway, thanks for looking! And go give airgeer's story a read if you find yourself with some spare time. It's a good one. :) (Start with Part 1, Far From Home)
