Glee-Related Fan Art - Chris and Darren

Apr 16, 2011 21:11

While doing a quick browse through the Glee Fluff Meme yesterday (yes, the fluff meme, where I pretty much never go) I came across this prompt that I thought was really cute. I would love to see someone write it. I thought about writing it myself, but... no, so instead I drew it! Art fills are legit, right? Right? I still hope someone writes fic for it. The prompt is below, the drawing is behind the cut.

Prompt: "In a recent interview, Chris mentioned that emotional scenes are extremely physically exhausting for him.

I'd love it if someone could write a fic where, after Chris sings 'Blackbird' in Original song, the crying tires him out so much that he falls asleep on one of the couches in the Warbler rehearsal room. Perhaps he falls asleep after the scene ends, as the crew starts to pack up? It's really up to the author, though.

Can be Chris/Darren romance or friendship. Points if the Warbler boys admire how adorable Chris looks when he's asleep."

I didn't get the Warbler boys in there, just a couple of faceless crew members packing up their things. Also, that's a boom mic, but the camera? IDEK. To use Kurt's words (spoken to Blaine prior to their duet at Regionals)... please don't judge me! I was going to throw in more equipment, but really, I have no idea what a film/TV set looks like or how to even begin drawing one.

To be honest, I had a hard time thinking of the two figures as Chris and Darren as I was working on it; I couldn't keep myself from thinking of them as Kurt and Blaine. It probably has something to do with the fact that they don't look exactly like the real people they're based on. Well, I tried, kind of. *grumble grumble* In fact, it wasn't until I was almost done with it that I realized I had named the groups containing the different layers belonging to each "Kurt" and "Blaine", and that's what I had been working with! I think after correcting that little mistake, it became easier, and easier still when I began adding the film crew. That last bit really drove home that it's only a set and these are the actors, not the characters.

Oh, but I am really, absurdly proud of that vase, haha. It's not made-up! It was there during Kurt's rendition of Blackbird in Original Song.

And... yeah, I'll stop there. I posted it at the meme just before bringing it over here to my journal, so. I do hope Anon likes it. :)
