Oh my gosh! I didn't know it had been...17 weeks since I posted last! So much has happened!
For starters, I went to Fanime in May and had a blast! I can't wait to go back next year. I was constantly moving back and forth between two rooms of friends, but it was still so much fun.
A while after we got back from Fanime, I turned 21. Surprises of surprises, Mom and Dad bought me some peppermint shnops and plum wine. I've had plum wine before and it was delicious, but I especially loved teh peppermint on ice. I wish I could afford to get some more right now.
Of course, after the birthday festivities was graduation. I could have walked the line with honors, but I decided against it. I am going to walk at the Academy, but not at Hartnell...no offence, but Hartnell just seems so high school.
Speaking of, I'm still taking summer school at Hartnell, Eng1B and one credit of Art Practicum. I never knew English to be so hard! On top of that, I'm working 8 hours a week in the lab. That's not so bad really, but it leaves for a big load of work.
To top things off, Mom is 3 weeks out of surgery. She had two of her neck plates fused together with a metal plate in between and had her hand split open. I don't know the specifics, I usually wipe them from my mind, but if she hadn't done this, she could have been paralized by now.
To put the cherry on, both of my sisters also got sick. Chelsea has something wrong with her legs. What, I don't know, but it seems to have gotten better. Doctors originally think that it was a pinched nerve. Emily, on the other hand, was hospitalized with nemonia. She was originally going to attend Bach rehersals, a very prestigious thing for a high school singer, and she was only able to attend one rehersal before Mom forced Dad to have her seen. I was also going to be the one to drive her to these rehersals on top of work and school, but now that isn't an issue. I still feel bad for her. Who I really feel bad for is Mom. She is technically allowed to drive again, but the strain on her neck and hand from the moving and whatnot hurt her.
Oh! Dad's car also blew up! While I was driving it to the hospital! A part that he had just spent $25 hundred dollars on somehow broke. Thankfully, the mechanic is awesome and only charged us $275 for the repairs.
Oh! And the cops were at our house becase the back door blew open and tripped the security system while we were out to Denny's after seeing Emily in the hospital!
All of this in one weekend!!! Gwen had a good laugh over it.
This all leads to my good news. I got accepted to the Academy of Art in San Francisco! I start Feburary 1 of 2010 and I can't wait! I'm scared as I'll get out, but I'm excited as well.
I'll also be having a new companion joining me on my trip to the Academy. While I was at Fanime, I kept running into these gorgous dolls. Expensive dolls, but absolutely beautiful. I got one for myself! An elf doll from a company called Bobobie. Well, actually, I got it from a doll dealer called Denver Doll Emporium, but they got it from Bobobie. BBB is actually one of the lest expensive companies to buy the size of doll I'm getting. I don't know why they are less expensive, but I think it has something to do with what the dolls are made of. I haven't found out the difference yet. I'm thinking on naming him Luca, but I'm not too sure yet. His clothes will be in in about a month from S. Korea, and I have yet to order his wig and eyes, but I'm hoping DDE and Dollmore send some extra goodies. I'm also thinking about dressing him up as Goku from Saiyuki, but again I'm not sure yet.
As for the fanfiction aspect of my life, I've been too busy with school and home to really sit down and write anything. I've gotten a lot of people interested in my KH/OHSHC fic, so I'll be focusing on that one once I've got time. I've still got to read a novel and write a report, as well as a biographical report, within the next four weeks and keep up with everything else! To any of my readers, I appoligize and I shall try to make it up to you. Perhaps with a one-shot in MSaS?
Until next time!
