(no subject)
And yet another semester of college starts up again. I'm only on my second day and I'm already exhausted! I'm taking International Politics, English 2, Astronomy lecture without lab, Speech theory, and, just for fun, Beginning Japanese. I don't need to take the Japanese, seeing as I'll be taking it, again, come next Fall Semester, but if, for some reason, I need to drop one of my other classes, I'll have the Japanese to fall back on to keep my credits up for work. The only hard part about Japanese is that it's at night! I hate evening classes see as I have to relay on my dad to pick us up. Us being my middle sister who started college this year and we're taking the class together. Why does a dad need to pick up his college students? Because the mom won't let her daughters walk 4 blocks in the dark. That's right: 4 blocks and only a 10 minute walk! Of course, my sis has something wrong with her foot that makes it difficult to walk and she doesn't like to be left alone, so I'm stuck between a rock, a hard place, and a 15 minute wait. I swear, Dad could fall asleep with a hurricane blowing through! One time, back in high school and I was taking a concurrent enrollment class at the college in the evening, I had to wait an hour for him to wake up, do his...stuff, and come and get me because Mom wouldn't let me walk. Of course, at that time, the campus was built in a different structure, and the quickest way home was crossing through the park. Now, not so much.
Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
I'm looking forward to September which is when the Fanime website is supposed to come up. If I had known that you could pre-reg at-con, I would have done it! $35 bucks for the entire weekend when we had to pay the same price for two days at-con! Now, if my research is anything to go by, it's going to be at least $50 for the entire weekend...not looking forward to that, but oh well.
If there is anyone for any reason reading this, it's probably to respond and kick my ass for not posting another chapter to Magical Secrets at Sea. Let me assure anyone who is reading this that I have not given up on MSaS, I've only hit a MAJOR roadblock. I've got a bit of chapter 21 done, but...I don't like it. It's a scene with Will and Harry, but it's too...fluffy. What I need is a good dose of Pirates during the weekend and to reread what I've written so far...I think I've lost my mojo.
Anywho, that's all I can think of to say for now. Maybe I'll post something else later too. Ja.
