saw +44 on wednesday, they were pretty good (when i say 'pretty good' i actually mean they were 'very very good')
played the whole album, Mark had some funny banter with the crowd. he comes across as a really nice guy, so down to earth. they are a pretty tight live band. despite Travis not being there and the tour drummer still being quite new to the material.
i took some photos and video too.

i had a bit of a 'disagreement' with a burly tattoo'd man just before +44 came on. he was basically trying to push infront of me (puhlease, as if i was just gonna let someone infront of me) so i just kept moving back to where he had pushed me from. then. he put his arm across the kid infront of me with his elbow right in my face, so i moved his elbow a couple of times, and he forced it back in my face, so i stabbed the end of his elbow with my thumbnail, and he tried to hit me hard in the face with his elbow. fuck that. no way am i having someone (who was at least 30) give me that shit.i just turned around to face him and went "WILL YOU FUCK OFF, WITH YOUR FUCKING ELBOW!"
i swear his face when i stood up to him was the funniest thing. he nearly shit himself, he just said pathetically "you fuck off. you keep pushing me". hello, as if i have a choice in where the crowd is being pushed to, plus he reeked of BO. just cause he was covered in tattoos, 6ft tall, with beard and piercings and a beanie pulled down to his eyes, doesn't mean a well mannered 5ft 5 girl is gonna be scared of him.
and THEN he whined for the whole set when people were knocking into him.  well if you so desperately want to be near the front and in the middle, the crowd isn't gonna avoid bumping you cause you don't like it.  [/rant over]

kelly was stalked by her creepy internet stalker at the gig, who since meeting me has started messaging me on myspace too. argh.
and we waited after the show to meet Mark Hoppus, he really is a lovely guy. there were at least 50 people outside waiting, and he signed a load of stuff for people (while we hovered at the back) but when people started shouting his name repeatedly, and pushing toward him he went back inside (quite rightly) until people calmed down. eventualy after a while a lot of the teenyboppers went home, and there were about 20 people left he came back and made sure he signed everyone's stuff and answered peoples questions. i luff him *swoon*

so we pondered off to wait for the late bus home grinning. and after a while waiting, about 12 lads came walking past... dressed as oompa loompas. one of the most surreal moments i've ever experienced.

was also dragged off to see Pussycat Dolls this, who were shit. i mean, they can actually sing, and they obviously can dance. but their show was just lacking in any kind of 'wow factor' and where they could have done a long section of their old burlesque stuff, they only did a few half songs. (their support Rhianna was even more dire. 1) if you're going to mime, please at least make the effort to move your mouth, and hold your mic to your mouth AT THE SAME TIME. 2) grinding your arse at the the front row does not equate dancing. and 3) since when does it take 10mins to slip a black dress over your 'swimsuit/hotpant suit' thing, while your rubbish dancers prance about to random songs that aren't yours, then after 2songs take another 10mins to take the dress back off, while we watch your shite dancers again. will to live was lost)
