Hostility character study (3/8): Sehun

Jul 30, 2013 12:51

background:
  • family: parents, 7 older sisters and 6 respective brother-in-law's (presumably the 7th sister is unmarried); the youngest of 8 children
  • career: Luhan's assistant/manager, then helping out with the family business (tea restaurant).
  • general: n/a
  • sexual history: has dated girls in the past, then becomes infatuated with Luhan
* sexual orientation is replaced by sexual history as i think this is less debatable and more definitive.

personality:

Sehun is an epitome of "don't judge a book by its cover". he looks and acts largely like a kid, but he has a mind of a much older man. he's a lot more mature than he lets on. his thought processes are based on empirical evidence, and he possesses a mindset of "grey thinking" in which he does not arrive at conclusions until he has gathered enough proof, which he uses to apply to judging both people and events. he is incredibly loyal; this is evidenced by his commitment to Luhan, both as a superior, an older brother he never had, as well as the object of his affection. one may say that he is too selfless for his age, the extent to which he is willing to make sacrifices for those he cares about almost coming off as outright stupidity. the way he expresses his love and concern for others is ambiguous and misleading at times; instead of appearing as gentle and loving, he would get angry and frustrated and even lash out at the subject. he is the type of person to care surreptitiously; leaving little notes, embedding tones of worry in between harsh words, even walking out of someone's life with the belief that it'd be better without him in it. behind an indifferent and even acerbic facade exists a turmoil of unspoken emotions.
