Harry Potter 7 part 1 Review: Warning Spoilers
This movie was excellent!
So far this movie was most true to the books (it damn well better be considering its split into two movies).
Things that were FINALLY in this movie (that wasn't before) that I'm happy about:
- Bill Weasley!!!!! and his relationship with Fleur (I actually thought for a moment that the wedding would actually be between Remus and Tonks since Bill was never brought up before.)
- Mundungus Fletcher
- Dobby (returned, I missed him in the other movies)
Things I loved about the movie:
- EVERYTHING!!!! (okay no seriously)
- Tom Felton's acting: That guy has Draco down perfectly. Each time Lucius came near him you saw all these conflicting emotions on his face, he clearly still loves his father but hates him for putting their family in this positions. And Draco's unwillingness to do anything when command to (summon the Dark Lord, reveal Harry's identity), showed his character so well and Tom Felton acted it beautifully.
- The Harry, Ron, Hermione friendship is perfect! Better than ever!
- Harry and Hermione's funny dance was awesome!
- The tension and suspense throughout the whole movie was great
- The actor for young Grindelwald! He's gorgeous and almost exactly how I pictured him.
- Dobby's death was so sad and beautiful! *sniffle*
- The entire ministry scene was epic
- Lucius was sexy even when broken and messy looking
- Beautiful filming!!!!!! :D
- I loved that the Harry and Hermione in the Horcrux kind of looked like Tom Riddle (I don't know how many others noticed this)
- despite not being in the movie that often Snape's presence was felt
- Neville calling the Death Eaters losers and being all like "get off my mother fucking train, bitches!"
- Harry and Ginny's kiss and George's awkwardness in the back ground
- Fleur's wedding dress!! I want it!!!
Things I didn't like:
- PETTIGREW DIDN"T KILL HIMSELF!!!!! I was so excited for the rat to die!! Arggh!
- any other complaints I have are kind of minor and not really worth telling. If you really want to know I will fill you in!
Overall an excellent movie and the best Harry Potter movie so far!
