Plot Bunnies...Again.
Now that I've basically (kinda sorta) finished my thesis my brain has basically declared it mating season for plot bunnies, which is both good and bad.
On the plus side, some of these bunnies are encouraging me to finish fics I've already started, though some (a lot) are new. On the down side (why is it not minus side?), it is kind of making me unfocused and unable to write. I have been trying really hard to write the next chapter of my Wayne/Crane epic series, but the other fics keeps interupting it (one in particular).
Never fear though Wayne/Crane fans, that fic is my first priority (as far as fanfics go, but after original stuff), but now I have several other ideas for things and I would like help/opinions on.
Here is a list of the fics in my brain and a brief bit about them. I would like you *points to you* to tell me which, if any, you would like to see written. I write better when more people read and enjoy so knowing which is more appealing to you guys is helpful.
And here we go:
Ain't No Rest for the Wicked - This actually belongs in my Wayne/Crane series. It would take place in between The Dark Knight and my fic Long Nights in Gotham City. Essentially it fills in the gap betweens those two stories. It would show, Jonathan dealing with living in Arkham with the Joker, while Bruce just begins visiting, Selina's rise to power and her relationship with Bruce before he was serious about Jonathan. The fic would also Harley's descent to madness, Ivy's and Croc's beginning in Gotham, and of course, how Edward Nigma challenged the Batman and became the Riddler.
The problem with this story is, I'm not sure I'd want to write it until I'm done with the series as it currently stands and then go back and add this story. I would really like to write this though especially since it would feature a lot of pairings I have been wanting to write but haven't. Those pairing are: Harley/Ivy, Bat/Cat, Harley/Joker, pre- Wayne/Crane, and Bruce/various women.
Explosions in the Sky - Remember I talked long ago about writing an epic Heroes fic. Yep, I wanna write it again. An AU universe where Gabriel's mother, fearful of her husband, begs Angela to raise young Gabriel as her son. Gabriel grows up as the middle son in the Petrelli family, but his life changes when he meets Mohinder Suresh, and the mysterious Adam Monroe.
I really want to write this fic, but there is a lot going on. I mean, I'm essentially rewriting the whole show. It features almost all the characters! Let give a little more detail. The stories main focus is Sylar, the Petrelli family, Mohinder, and Adam, but wait there is more! Other Au aspects, HRG does turn Claire over to the Company where she is trained and meets her real family. Lyle furious with HRG goes after Claire (I plan on making Lyle a big character). Molly's parents are still mudered but not by Sylar (obviously). There is a resistance team working against the Company comprised of Wireless, Daphne, Claude, Meredith, Barbara (the other Ali Later triplet), and eventual others. I really want to play with characters that don't get much air time such as, Kimiko, Heidi, Lyle, and Audrey (there may be more). Then there are two OCs Barbara though mentioned in the show I guess is technically an OC sense we know nothing about her, and Elle's mother. Basically it would be epic, but it would be so good if I could accomplish it!!! Main pairings would be, Mylar, Audrey/Matt, Daphne/Adam, Hiro/Wireless, Peter/Emma, Issac/Barbara, Claire/Gretchen, Lyle/Luke (maybe), and there may be possible others. Some of this is still up in the air.
Seducing the Wallflower - AU universe were young Clark Kent is told by Jor-El's AI that as long he abstains from sex he'll never inherit his powers. In an effort to maintain a normal life Clark does just that, but then he meets Bruce Wayne who is determined to seduce him.
Funny fic, I would love to write this, but... I would have to write a sex scene and I'm really nervous about doing that. *blushes* But seriously, this story writes itself, it just that one scene. Gah!
Too Good Too Bad - Heroes/Firefly crossover!! Mal lets his old war buddy Adama Monroe and his team hitch a ride on Serenity not realizing that Adam is after River Tam.
I'm always nervous about writing Firefly, the show is sooooo good and I want to do it justice. I love the idea of a crossover between these two universes simply because the fit so seemlessly. Pairings: Simon/Kaylee, Peter/Kaylee, Zoe/Wash, Mal/Inara, Adam/Inara, and Sylar/Claire.
Want It All Back - Red Eye fanfic! After the events of Red Eye Lisa tries to move on with her life and Jackson escapes from the hospital before he can be taken to prison. 2 years later, Lisa is attacked in her apartment only to be saved by the villainous Jackson, who claims he has been protecting her for the passed two years and now wants payment.
I really really want to write a Red Eye fic, but I'm not sure anyone would read it. *sniff sniff* Why is this movie still not as popular as it was when it first came out. *sniff* Pairing is obviously Lisa/Jackson there are no other pairings in this movie. The best thing about this fic is that I have more free reign. I'm not contained within in a certain universe like the others and there are only two main characters, which again gives me free reign to write original characters. Also I have never written a thriller and I kind of want to, but will anyone even read this!?
The good thing about some of these fics is they are different from what I usually do, especially pairings wise. I don't write nearly as much femslash and het as I would like too. *sigh* The slash just conquers my life.
There are also several one-shots I want to write, but I'm not as concerned about those. They will be written as they come. I also need to finish my current Mylar fic Doing Just Fine and my Conversations Batman/Sandman crossover drabbles.
So friends, what to do? Let me know what you think.
Oh, and incase anyone cares, at least three of these fics were inspired my the anime Cowboy Bebop. If you can guess which ones I will give you a cookie! ^__^
