Yesterday I decided I'd had enough. I had to get a new cell phone. My Motorola T720 was having all kinds of issues, not the least of which was the fact that half the time people could barely hear me. I told myself that I wasn't going to get another Motorola since the one I was replacing was my *second* T720 in a year and a half. Well, I got a Motorola V600. For starters, the gal at ATT said that they stopped carrying the T720 because they were constantly replacing them. The V600 is also a very sturdy phone. It's easily twice as heavy as the T720, but it's pretty much the same size. And finally, they really didn't have anything else in my price range that caught my eye or had the same number of features that the V600 has. All in all, I'm happy with the phone so far. I get a waaay better signal and it's a lot louder (I can *hear* people!). It also has a camera, bluetooth, and better games ;)
So, I know the title says "toys", as in plural. I had to come in to work today (in fact I'm still here ::yawn::) because I was being issued my new laptop. They gave me an IBM ThinkPad T-41. The only other person in the office with a T-41 is my boss. I feel special.
And then to round it all off, I should have my two-way pager when I come in tomorrow night.
All these new toys is putting me into my geek happy place. It's like techno-shock because it's so cool. Heh.
I'm such a geek.
