6) I hate the Vietnam war as well. It was never a declared war. It could never have been won sense our government had an unspoken agreement that we would only send a few troops in at a time. Had there truly been a reason to go, other than political, we would have sent in far more troops. But the Johnson and Nixon administrations sent Americans in with, as my grandma likes to say it, their hands tied behind their backs. This has been documented, by the way. And why do we glorify war? I understand that if we are fighting for an honorable cause, support is the right thing to give, maybe even our lives as well. But how would you feel if you were a soldier there, knowing that you could never win, watching your buddies be killed by hidden bombs, or watching booby-trapped children exploding before your eyes if someone touches them the wrong way? Could you honestly support that. Now, Kerry got through it. He may not be a "war hero", per se, but he is damn well braver than I.

7) I don't agree with tax increases myself, but what has to be done, has to be done. Besides, Bush's tax cuts have done little to help the economy anyway. Any economist will tell you that.

8) You are not gay, therefore you do not know how horrible it feels to be denied all the rights of a straight couple. Besides, the institution of heterosexual marriage has been going downhill sense the seventies. Marriages are now a sham. Look at Hollywood! Allowing homosexuals to wed will not make bestiality, pedophilia, polygamy, and incest socially or legally acceptable. As for sexual fetishes, do you know any sadomasichits? Probably not. Or maybe you do. Their interest in pain as a form of pleasure has cost many a job, but you don't hear about discrimination against dominants and submissive, do you? As for Kerry's view, he does not support gay marriage, only civil unions. He believes the issue should be left up to the states, and most states are against homosexuals getting married.

9) Well, we made a mess in Iraq. It is our job to help clean it up.

10) It isn't really being kept a secret. If you honestly wanted to find out about his past, you could find plenty of info.

Well, I'm not saying you have to like either candidate. Just don't fall totally for GOP propaganda. I'm just peachy.
